How Much are Your Childrens' Teachers Making?

Are they being over- or underpaid for their services?

It isn’t easy being a teacher in Illinois these days. Between the state’s pension crisis, fewer job openings and mediocre starting salaries, becoming an educator is not as appealing as it used to be. Below is a small sampling of average teacher salaries at some of the state’s largest school districts. The first number represents the average salary of those with bachelor’s degrees, the second number is the average salary of those with a master’s degree, and the third number is the number of students in the district.
