Judge Rules in Favor of Grayslake, Dismisses Trucking Terminal Suit
The lawsuit, filed in 2014 by Mundelein and village residents, has been dismissed.

GRAYSLAKE, IL - A Lake County judge ruled in favor of the village of Grayslake and dismissed a lawsuit filed by Mundelein in regards to a regional trucking terminal, Saia Inc. The lawsuit was filed in October 2014 after several Mundelein residents said the facility would cause noise and environmental issues, the Daily Herald reports. Saia opened in 2016 at Midlothian and Winchester roads.
The suit claimed the trucking terminal noise, added traffic, pollution and diesel emission would diminish property values, according to the Daily Herald.
The village of Mundelein and several residents in a neighborhood near the trucking terminal also questioned the validity of an annexation agreement and zoning changes made to build the facility in Grayslake.
