Lake Co. Treasurer, IL Comptroller Host Financial Workshop

From the Lake County Treasurer: The Illinois Comptroller and the Lake County Treasurer are partnering together to host a Finance 101 Workshop on Thursday, Oct. 17, from 6 to 8 p.m. In this course you will acquire the tools to set goals, create savings plans and learn how to maintain a personal budget. In addition, you will learn about loans and how to pay off debt.

Treasurer Kim believes it's important to empower residents and equip them with the tools to make good financial decisions. "Utilizing your resources to help yourself and your family succeed is so important we're joining forces. I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to work with our State Comptroller Susana Mendoza and offer this workshop to Lake County residents."

Susana Mendoza, Illinois Comptroller said,"Financial Literacy is critically important to financial independence and success. My hope is that our office's outreach efforts will help Illinoisans become more confident when making their own financial decisions and they can pass those lessons on to future generations."
