Man, 26, Found Dead on Frozen Lake: Authorities
The body was discovered on Monday morning on Deep Lake in Lake Villa.
Authorities are investigating the death of a 26-year-old man whose body was found on the frozen ice of Deep Lake on Monday in Lake Villa.
Police and fire personnel responded to the 500 block of Shoshoni Trail in the Ishnala Estates subdivision in Lake Villa at 10:53 a.m. and located the body about 800 feet off the shore, according to the Lake County News-Sun. The coroner has identified the man as Ryan Garrett, 26, of Lake Villa.
It’s unclear how long the man’s body had been on the ice, according to the Chicago Sun-Times. An autopsy is planned for Wednesday.
