Man Arrested for Burglarizing Same Home Twice in the Past Year
A Park City man is in custody following the burglaries that happened at a home in unincorporated Round Lake in April and in September.

A Park City teen has been arrested for burglarizing the same home near Round Lake twice -- the first time in April and the second time in September of this year.
Evidence was located from both burglaries,m. After the evidence was examined at the Northeastern Illinois Regional Crime Laboratory, authorities connected Ovid J. Ramirez, 19, of the 3300 block of Susan Circle in Park City, to the crimes.
An arrest warrant was issued and on Oct. 26, police took Ramirez into custody at a residence in the 400 block of McKinley Avenue, in Waukegan, according to a Lake County Sheriff's Office press release.

Ramirez has been charged with two counts of residential burglary (class 1 felony) and two counts of theft (class 3 felony). Ramirez is currently being held at the Lake County Jail on $250,000.00 bail.
The first burglary occurred on April 14, 2016. Lake County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a home in the 35300 block of North Hickory Lane in unincorporated Round Lake.

Sheriff’s deputies arrived and found entry had been forced to a window on the ground floor, according to a news release.
Several items, including electronics, were taken during the burglary.
On Sept. 26, the same residence was burglarized again. Entry was again forced to a ground floor window. Several electronic items were stolen during the burglary.
Lake County Sheriff’s Evidence Technicians responded to both burglaries and canvassed the scene for evidence, which a authorities said later linked Ramirez to the crime.
His next court date is Nov. 21 at 1:30 p.m. in courtroom C-120.
