Man Who Pointed AR-15 At Police Found Dead In Antioch Home: Police
The 46-year-old Antioch man has been identified as Chadd Dunn, according to the Lake County Coroner's Office.
ANTIOCH, IL β A 46-year-old man accused of pointing an AR-15 rifle at officers responding to a domestic disturbance at a home in Antioch Friday was later found dead inside the home, according to authorities.
The man has been identified as Chad Dunn of Antioch. Preliminary results from an autopsy show he died from a gunshot wound to the head.
Police say the gunshot wound appears to be self-inflicted.

Authorities responded to the home in the 600 block of Hillside Avenue at about 6:40 p.m. Friday for the reported domestic disturbance. When officers arrived, they were met by Dunn, who had an AR-15 rifle that he pointed at them before retreating back into the home with his gun in hand, according to a news release.
Dunn barricaded himself inside the home and tried to communicate with him. The Northern Illinois Police Alarm System was able to enter the home and found the man unresponsive in the basement of the home with a gunshot wound to the head, according to authorities.

The incident remains under investigation by the Antioch Police Department, Lake County Major Crimes Task Force and Lake County Coronerβs Office.
