Map Details Bike Paths Throughout Lake County
New this year, Lake Co. Division of Transportation has released an app that allows bikers to access helpful info while on the go.

LAKE COUNTY, IL - There are 550 total miles of trails and bikeways connecting forest preserves and communities throughout Lake County. Sixty of those miles are specifically designated to bike paths and bike lanes as part of the Lake County highway system.
With warmer temps finally in the forecast, here is a look at a map that shows bike paths throughout the county.
LCDOT also has a wealth of bike path information on its website including safety tips, resources, information about biking to work and more. A new addition for the county is the mobile friendly “Bike Lake County” feature. You can explore Lake County's bike path and trail network using the new app, allowing you to access great information while you are on the go.
