Coroner IDs Man Killed In Round Lake Beach Crash

ROUND LAKE BEACH, IL — A motorcyclist killed in a collision in Round Lake Beach over the weekend has been identified as David Paul, 56, of Skokie, according to the Lake County Coroner's Office.

The crash happened at about 8 a.m. Sunday when a 2001 Jeep headed south on Route 83 was making a left turn onto eastbound Engle Drive and collided with a motorcycle driving north on Route 83, according to a news release from the Round Lake Beach Police Department.

Paul was pronounced dead at the scene. An autopsy performed Monday revealed he died from blunt force injuries, according to the coroner's office.

The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
