Non-Profit Run Out Of Garage During Pandemic: Local Hero

GRAYSLAKE, IL — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented and changing times.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. Together with Ring, we’re working to let all your neighbors know about these outstanding people and their stories.

This submission comes from Betsy Grindol who nominated Lisa Fisher of Grayslake. Grindol met Fisher through a non-profit organization Fisher started, Antioch Traveling Closet.

Reason for recognition: If you go to https://antiochtravelingcloset... you will see all the things she is doing and how she is getting everyone in Antioch and surrounding communities to help. She just did a school supply giveaway.
One thing to know: ATC has been running out of Lisa garage due to the pandemic, but the organization NEEDS a building so they can help more people!
