The roundup also highlights Burlington Central's boys golf regional title and several other area volleyball, soccer, and flag football results that may feature teams Grayslake athletes regularly face.
   

4. Grass clippings self-ignite, sparking fire that heavily engulfed detached garage near Round Lake (lakemchenryscanner.com) — Fire crews from Grayslake helped battle a major detached-garage fire Sunday evening in unincorporated Round Lake, where self-igniting grass clippings spread to the structure and downed power lines. No one was hurt, but Fairfield Road closed, power was knocked out nearby, and firefighters had to stretch hoses several blocks to reach a hydrant.
