After Fatal Shooting, Police Want To Talk To Partygoers
The shooting happened on July 1 in Wadsworth. Authorities are continuing to investigate the slaying of Sotero Sanchez, Jr.
LAKE COUNTY, IL β The Lake County Sheriff's Office is looking to talk to everyone who attended a large party where a 19-year-old Waukegan man was fatally shot over the Fourth of July holiday weekend in Wadsworth.
As of Thursday, investigators have talked to dozens of people who attended the party in the 40600 block of North Kilbourne Road in Wadsworth on July 1, according to a news release from the sheriff's office.
Sotero Sanchez, Jr., 19, of Waukegan, was attending the large party when he got into an argument with another person, according to authorities. The party goer is accused of pulling out a gun and shooting Sanchez.

An autopsy shows Sanchez died as a result of multiple gunshot wounds.
According to police, dozens of people left the party after the shooting.

Police are continuing to investigate the slaying and are asking anyone who attended the party or anyone with information regarding the fatal shooting to contact authorities at 847-377-4000 or Lake County CrimeStoppers by leaving a tip online.
