Police Search For Gurnee Bank Robbery Suspect

Police said bank robbery took place at the Gurnee Community Bank on Oct. 31.

GURNEE, IL — The Gurnee Police Department is searching for a suspect in a bank robbery that took place at the Gurnee Community Bank, 675 N. O'Plaine Road Wednesday, Oct. 31. According to the police department, officers responded to the reported robbery at 4:14 p.m. Wednesday, adding that no weapons were shown during the incident and no injuries were reported.

The suspect left the bank on a bicycle and was last seen in the area of Old Grand and Depot Road, according to police.

Police said the offender is described as a black male, possibly a teenager, 5’8”, 150 pounds, with a slender build. According to police, the suspect was wearing a dark colored hooded jacket with a visible blue shirt underneath, black face mask, black pants, black gloves, dark shoes and was wearing a black backpack.
