Wanted Gang Member Arrested in Third Lake for Armed Robbery

The armed robbery occurred in August in North Chicago.

Police arrested an 18-year-old North Chicago man who was wanted on two active arrest warrants on Tuesday in Third Lake.

Delwin L. Hodge, a gang member, had an active arrest warrant for three counts of armed robbery with a firearm, class X felonies, and three counts of aggravated robbery, class 1 felonies, in connection with an armed robbery that took place in North Chicago in August, according to a Lake County Sheriff’s Office press release.

Additionally, Hodge had an active failure to appear arrest warrant for possession of a controlled substance, a class 4 felony, according to the news release.

In recent weeks, Lake County Sheriff’s Office Warrants Team began surveillance at a residence in Round Lake Beach where Hodge was believed to be living. On Oct. 25, Hodge was seen in the area driving a vehicle. Members of the Lake County Sheriff’s Office Warrants Team and the United States Marshal Service-Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force conducted a traffic stop on Hodge’s vehicle in Third Lake, where he was successfully taken into custody, according to the news release.

Hodge remains in the Lake County Jail on a $750,00 bail. His next court date is set for Oct. 26.
