Waukegan Man Died From Gunshot Wounds: Coroner's Office
51-year-old Terrance Shelton's death investigation is ongoing, according to the coroner's office.

WAUKEGAN, IL — The Lake County Coroner's Office said a 51-year-old Waukegan man died from injuries caused by gunshot wounds, according to results from a Sept. 20 autopsy. The Coroner's Office said they were notified of a fatality at 12:11 a.m. Thursday at a home on N. Jackson St. in Waukegan, and responded. An autopsy was performed on Terrance Shelton at 8:30 a.m., Dr. Howard Cooper, Lake County Coroner, said.
"The investigation into his death is ongoing by our office and the Waukegan Police Department," Cooper said, in a release from the coroner's office. Toxicology is pending.”
Cooper added that Shelton's family has been notified and the coroner's office sends their deepest condolences to them.
