Woman Critically Injured In Old Mill Creek Crash
The one-vehicle crash happened Wednesday afternoon at Route 45 and Kelly Road in Old Mill Creek.
LAKE COUNTY, IL — A 74-year-old woman was seriously injured in a one-vehicle collision Wednesday afternoon in Old Mill Creek.
The crash happened at about 2:40 p.m. when a Toyota RAV4 driven by the woman, who is from unincorporated Lake Villa, was headed south on Route 45 at Kelly Road at a high rate of speed. The vehicle traveled into the northbound lanes of traffic and then went off the road before hitting several trees, according to a news release from the sheriff's office.
The woman was taken to Advocate Condell Medical Center with critical injuries.
