Young Child Hit By Minivan, Critically Injured: Police
The collision occurred Friday evening in Lindenhurst.
LINDENHURST, IL -- Local authorities are investigating a collision that occurred Friday evening in Lindenhurst. A young child was crossing Grand Avenue from Hillcrest Lane at about 7 p.m. and was hit by a 2007 Dodge minivan, according to a news release. The child was critically injured and was transported to a local hospital, police said.
The driver of the minivan was not injured.
The Lake County Major Crash Assistance Team (MCAT) is assisting with the investigation.
