YouTube Video Captures Massive Tri-State Tollway Crash
Police are checking out the video of the crash that injured eight.
GURNEE, IL -- Investigators are looking into a YouTube video that captures a multiple-vehicle crash and shows a semi truck colliding into the back of several cars stopped in traffic on the Tri-State Tollway near Gurnee on Monday.
The crash sent eight to the hospital and critically injured one, according to the Lake County News-Sun. The crash happened in the westbound lanes near the Grand Avenue exit at about 5:45 p.m.

The video, captured by YouTube user Lukami, is shot from a moving vehicle and shows as the semi apparently plows into a line of vehicles stopped in traffic. At least one of the cars is launched into the air.

No tickets have been issued to the truck driver and the crash remains under investigation, according to the Lake County News Sun.
