• Varsity Blue Jays Scholastic Bowl Season Ends In Regional (wgel.com) — Greenville Junior High’s varsity Blue Jays wrapped up a standout scholastic bowl season with a strong second-place finish at the Effingham IHSA Regional, narrowly falling to Triad on the final question. Led by top scorer Zach Goggin, the Greenville squad posted an impressive 27-11 overall record, including a 17-4 IHSA mark and third place at the Mater Dei Tournament.

Allen, 45 - The Journal-News (thejournal-news.net) — Family and friends in Greenville are asked to send memorial contributions for Jennifer Renee Allen to a local College Avenue address as they grieve her recent passing at 45. Raised in Panama and long based in Taylor Springs, she was a beloved hairdresser, devoted wife and mother, and is remembered for her big-hearted personality, love of the outdoors, and welcoming home.
