• 'No regard for safety': Honduran national accused of firing almost 20 shots into home occupied by family in Gurnee (lakemchenryscanner.com) — A Gurnee family narrowly escaped injury after at least 17 shots were fired into their Lawson Boulevard home during the night of August 15, and a 19-year-old Waukegan man is now jailed without bond. Prosecutors say video, phone records, and witness identification tie him to the shooting, allegedly sparked by an online dispute involving a juvenile and his girlfriend, with a preliminary hearing set for September 24.
