• Motorcyclist airlifted with serious injuries in crash with truck near Harvard (shawlocal.com) — Emergency crews from the Harvard Fire Protection District responded Monday to a serious motorcycle–pickup crash at Route 173 and Beck Road near Harvard, airlifting the rider to a Rockford hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The collision came during an unusually busy stretch that also included a separate medical call and a structure fire, with neighboring departments assisting Harvard responders. 
• Donald H. Luerssen (ozarkradionews.com) — Family and friends in Harvard will have a chance to honor longtime farmer and Trinity Lutheran member Donald H. Luerssen at a June 9 visitation at Saunders & McFarlin Funeral Home, followed by burial at Big Foot Cemetery in Harvard. The 91-year-old former Harvard dairy farmer and Army veteran is remembered for his deep faith, community involvement, and devotion to family.
