10 Unlocked Cars Burglarized In One Night In Highland Park: Police

HIGHLAND PARK, IL — The following information comes from the Highland Park and Highwood police departments and public records as a record of incidents reported to the police and of those arrested by police. Criminal charges represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law beyond a reasonable doubt.
INCIDENTS
STOLEN CAR
Someone stole an electric Mercedes-Benz car parked in front of a home in the 1400 block of St. Tropez Court around 2 a.m. on April 5. It was not known if the car was locked at the time.
THEFT
Around 3 p.m. on April 5, a patron of LA Fitness, 115 Skokie Valley Road, reported that someone stole a gym bag while they were using a fitness machine. The bag contained various items, including car keys, of unknown value.

CAR BURGLARIES
- Someone burglarized a pair of unlocked cars in the 1900 block of Keats Court during the night of April 2 or early morning hours of April 3. Nothing was reported stolen from inside.
- Around 3 a.m. on April 3, someone got into two other unlocked cars in the 1900 block of Keats Court. Nothing was reported stolen.
- Someone got into an unlocked Range Rover in the 1200 block of Taylor Avenue between 9 p.m. April 2 and 6:30 a.m. on April 3. Nothing inside was reported stolen.
- An unlocked Porche SUV was burglarized after being left unlocked in the 100 block of Aspen Lane on the night of April 2 or morning of April 3. Nothing was reported stolen.
- An unlocked Honda in the 200 block of Aspen Lane was burglarized on the night of April 2 or morning of April 3, though nothing was reported stolen from inside.
- Three unlocked cars in the 1800 block of Keats Lane were burglarized between 6 p.m. on April 2 and 8:45 a.m. on April 3. Nothing inside was reported stolen.
ARRESTS/CITATIONS
Benito Antunez-Luna, 40, turned himself at the Highwood Police Department, 17 Highwood Ave., around 2 p.m. on March 16 on an arrest warrant charging him with four counts of domestic battery.

Robert A. Worth, 59, of the 1000 block of Auburn Avenue, Highland Park, was arrested around 11:45 p.m. on April 3 and charged with disorderly conduct after police were called to his home for a report of a dispute between him and a household or family member.
Raiden K. Hagedorn, 18, of the 300 block of Anthony Avenue, Mundelein, was arrested around 6 p.m. on April 4 and charged with criminal trespassing and two counts of misdemeanor criminal damage after police were called to a report of an intruder at a home in the 2700 block of Point Lane.

A high school student under the age of 18 was arrested on April 4 and petitioned delinquent in juvenile court on charges of possession of a firearm in a school and disorderly conduct following a report that someone had brought a gun to Highland Park High School, 433 Vine Ave.

A 51-year-old Cicero man was arrested around 2:30 p.m. on April 8 and charged with driving with a suspended or revoked license after police spotted him using a cell phone while driving and pulled him over in the 2600 block of Skokie Valley Road. He was also issued citations for operating an uninsured motor vehicle and use of an electronic device while driving.
