12 District 113 Students are National Merit Finalists
9 from DHS, 3 from HPHS among the top 1 percent nationally.

Twelve students from Township High School District 113 have been named finalists in the 61st annual National Merit Scholarship Program, including nine from Deerfield High School and three from Highland Park High School.
Finalists from HPHS are Anne Greene, Corey Novick and Thomas Wehner.
Tara Cruise, Benjamin Edelstein, Zachary Frischer, Aarohi Mahableshwarkar, Benjamin Sachs, Ariel Sheffey, Asher Silverglade, Ilyssa Silverman and Dana Suri are finalists from DHS.

Approximately 1.4 million juniors in more than 22,000 high schools entered the 2016 National Merit Scholarship Program by taking the 2014 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.
Winners will be selected from among the finalists, which represent less than one percent of U.S. high school seniors.
