2 Drivers Charged With DUI After Crashes: Highland Park Crimes
Highland Park Police Blotter: Feb. 5 - Feb. 11

HIGHLAND PARK, IL — The following information comes from the Highland Park Police Department as a record of incidents reported to the police and of those arrested by police. Readers are reminded than an arrest is not an indication of guilt, and criminal charges, which are often dropped or reduced, represent merely accusations by the state. All persons named are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
INCIDENTS
THEFT
A resident in the 100 block of Ravine Drive reported on the morning of Feb. 5 that a pair of diamond stud earrings were believed to be stolen sometime between Jan. 30 and Feb. 2.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE
Someone slashed the rear tire on the driver's side of a black Mercedes parked in a lot in the 1200 block of Park Avenue West, police were told on the evening of Feb. 8.
CAR BURGLARY
Someone entered a Dodge Ram parked overnight on Feb. 10-11 in the 100 block of Normandy Street and stole cash from a wallet, police were told on the morning of Feb. 11. Cash was reported stolen from a wallet inside the vehicle, which was reported to be locked although no forced entry was found.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE
Someone damaged the driver's side panel and passenger door of a Nissan Murano parked in the 100 block of Normandy Street during the overnight hours of Feb. 10-11, police were told.
ARRESTS
Joshua Klepadlo, 20, of the 6900 block of N. Rosemary Lane, Niles, was arrested at 12:02 a.m. on Feb. 7 and charged with driving without a valid license or insurance, failing to reduce speed to avoid an accident, hit-and-run, open transportation of alcohol and no valid registration after police responded to a two-car traffic crash near Park Avenue West and Skokie Valley Road.
Ashley Sanders, 34, of the 300 block of Park Avenue, Highland Park, was arrested at 1:18 p.m. on Feb. 7 and charged with driving under the influence and improper lane usage after police responded to a single-car traffic crash near Green Bay Road and First Street.
A 30-year-old Highland Park man was arrested at 1:30 a.m. on Feb. 12 and charged with driving with a suspended license – and without a rear license plate light or proof of insurance – following a traffic stop near Sunset Road and Princeton Avenue.
