2 Men Arrested On Same Domestic Battery Warrant: HP Blotter
Hit-and-run, speeding and drunk driving charges on the Highland Park Police Department blotter for the week of Dec. 31 - Jan. 6.

HIGHLAND PARK, IL — The following information comes from the Highland Park and Highwood police departments and court records as a record of incidents reported to the police and of those arrested by police. Criminal charges represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law beyond a reasonable doubt.
INCIDENTS
CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO FENCE
A resident in the 2600 block of Waukegan Avenue reported on Jan. 5 that someone damaged two planks of fencing. No items were reported stolen from the yard or home, and there was no other damage noted.

ARRESTS
A 32-year-old Waukegan man was arrested around 10 a.m. on Dec. 29 and charged with driving without a valid license following a traffic stop on on Sheridan Road at Washington Avenue in Highwood.

Raynard Hall, 32, of the 14000 block of Dorchester Avenue, Dolton, was arrested around 11:39 p.m. on Dec. 31 and charged with leaving the scene of a traffic crash and driving with a suspended or revoked license following a complaint of a hit-and-run crash in the area of Skokie Valley Road and Park Avenue West.
A 30-year-old Highland Park man was arrested around 6:15 p.m. on Jan. 2 and charged with driving with a suspended or revoked license after officers were dispatched to a traffic crash in the 1900 block of Skokie Valley Road.
Peter Silas, 58, and David McAlister, 58, both of the 500 block of Michigan Avenue, Highland Park, were arrested on Jan. 4 after police served a warrant in their block of residence in connection with a Dec. 31 incident. Silas was arrested on a charge of domestic battery. McAlister was taken into custody on charges of assault and domestic battery.
Michael Wright, 30, of the 1600 block of Midland Avenue, Highland Park, was arrested shortly after 2:45 a.m. on Jan. 5 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration of 0.08 or above following a traffic stop at the intersection of Arbor Avenue and Huntington Lane. He was also issued a citation for speeding between 21 and 25 mph above the limit.
Steven Hatchett, Jr., 45, of the 2000 block of Hebron Avenue, Zion, was arrested around 4:15 a.m. on Jan. 5 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and without a license following a traffic stop at the intersection of Skokie Valley Road and Park Avenue West. He was also issued citations for illegal transportation of alcohol, possession of cannabis and improper lane usage.
A 34-year-old Zion man was arrested around 11:38 p.m. on Jan. 6 and charged with driving with a suspended or revoked license and operating an uninsured motor vehicle after police pulled him over in the 2600 block of Skokie Valley Road. He was also ticketed for driving a motorcycle without a proper light.
