3 Drug Arrests In Open Trunk Investigation: Highland Park Crimes

HIGHLAND PARK, IL — The following information comes from the Highland Park Police Department as a record of incidents reported to the police and of those arrested by police. Readers are reminded than an arrest is not an indication of guilt, and criminal charges, which are often dropped or reduced, represent merely accusations by the state. All persons named are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
INCIDENTS
THEFT OF LOST OR MISLAID PROPERTY
Someone left their wallet on the counter of an unspecified business in the 2500 block of Skokie Valley Road and an unidentified person picked the wallet up and left the business, it was reported at 1:40 p.m. on Jan. 21.

THEFT OF MISLAID PROPERTY
Sometime between 3 and 4:30 p.m., someone left behind a blue Coach wallet containing IDs, cash and credit cards – possibly in the restroom – of an unspecified business in the 1700 block of St. Johns Avenue, it was reported around 8 p.m.

ARRESTS
Dustin Cullins, 30, of the 1400 block of South Canal Street, Chicago, Djavan Wagner, 29, of the 0-50 block of Oak Street, Chicago, and Jennifer Juhlin, 36, of the 2500 block of West Morris, Chicago, were arrested shortly before 1:30 a.m. on Jan. 17 and each charged with felony unlawful possession of controlled substances after police on patrol investigated a suspicious vehicle parked with the trunk open in the 1500 block of Clavey Road.
Ari Kaplan, 22, of the 1200 block of Cambridge Court, Highland Park, was arrested on an outstanding Lake County Sheriff warrant in connection with a charge of violation of an order of protection. Kaplan was arrested in the 1800 block of Green Bay Road shortly after 5 p.m. on Jan. 18.
A 29-year-old Northbrook woman was arrested at 6:48 p.m. on Jan. 18 and charged with driving while license suspended and cited for having a single red taillight following a traffic stop near Green Bay Road and Great Elm Lane.
A 50-year-old Lake Bluff man was arrested at 7:11 p.m. on Jan. 19 and charged with driving while a suspended license, expired registration and uninsured motor vehicle following a traffic stop near Green Bay Road and Park Avenue West.
A 55-year-old Highland Park man was arrested at 8:54 p.m. on Jan. 21 and charged with driving with a suspended license and speeding following a traffic stop near Park Avenue West and Spruce Avenue.
