Amdur Productions Brings Art Fest Boot Camp Back to Highland Park

HIGHLAND PARK, IL – On Saturday, December 7th Amdur Productions will host its annual Art Fest Boot Camp at Highland Park Country Club (just 30 miles north of Chicago), located at 1201 Park Ave W, Highland Park, Illinois. The boot camp, which is held from 10AM to 12PM, is a free workshop designed for artists who are thinking about exhibiting at upcoming art fairs and festivals. The workshop is open to all artists, emerging to professional. Amy Amdur, President of Amdur Productions and producer of more than twenty art festivals throughout the Midwest, will be the featured speaker.

The workshop will cover a variety of topics including how to select a show, how to select images for the jurors, and how to create a winning booth display. There will also be an opportunity for artist to participate in a mock jury. This gives art fair veterans and first timers a chance to submit a “mock application” for the Amdur team to review and give feedback during the Art Fest Boot Camp. Artists are encouraged to bring a piece of art with them, so pointers can be given on how to showcase and speak about the art.

“Our Boot Camp gives artists and others who might be thinking about participating in an art show or festival an opportunity to interact with other artists and gain feedback from experienced professionals,” said Amdur. “We produce this as a free event because we want to encourage emerging artists or those who are new to the field to participate and learn.”
