ami ami BEGINS FREE MONTLY YOGA NIGHT

Highland Park’s ami ami, had such a fabulous time at their initial yoga night on March 12 that they’ve decided to make it a monthly event! The most fashion forward boutique on the North Shore will now be holding a free yoga night every first Thursday of the month, from 6pm-7pm. Ami ami will also be offering special clothing sales and incentives to participants too! Attendees are invited to reserve a few hours of their day to reflect, stretch, and strengthen.

ami ami , 668 Central Avenue in Downtown Highland Park, will transform from a chic, fashion store, into a serene and calming yoga studio. Stacey Skolnick, co-owner of ami ami has been practicing yoga for over 15 years, trained at Chicago’s acclaimed Yogaview and teaches at Shri Yoga. Also teaching will be Stephanie Metz, another instructor from Shri Yoga. Metz received her training from Moksha Yoga and also volunteers at Highland Park Hospital teaching Yoga Therapeutics.

Skolnick feels passionate about the benefits of yoga, saying, “Yoga brought the grace and beauty back into my life for which I so longed, and I want to bring that to my customers. It was so fun the first time around, and I know firsthand how yoga can change your life. I want to give back to my customers just as they have given back to me.”

All skill levels are encouraged to attend. ami ami also plans to offer different clothing deals at each yoga night. “One night we may offer buy one get one free on certain pieces, another night we may do a 30% off sale on all winter wear,” said co-owner and fashionista Merrie Spade.

“We are thrilled to bring our world of yoga to ami ami’s clientele,” says Metz. “Fashion and fitness are excellent forms of expression, and actually compliment each other in more ways than we realize.”

ami ami is located at 668 Central Avenue in in Downtown Highland Park. Regular store hours are Monday thru Saturday 10am-5:30pm, but ami ami will remain open until 8:00 pm on April 2nd,
