Anti-Hate, Discrimination Resolution Passed By Highland Park City Council
"Welcoming and Inclusive Community Pledge" approved unanimously at meeting Monday.

HIGHLAND PARK, IL — Highland Park City Council unanimously adopted a resolution calling for respect for differences and diverse perspectives at a meeting Monday, according to Pioneer Press.
"From our schools to our neighborhoods and our government buildings, Lake County must be a place that respects our differences and believes that diverse perspectives create better outcomes," said the resolution.
"As public servants, we have an even greater responsibility to speak out against discrimination, xenophobia and hatred because when the unacceptable becomes the norm in our society, human rights for all are threatened," read the text of the resolution.
