HIGHLAND PARK, IL — The following information comes from the Highland Park Police Department as a record of incidents reported to the police and of those arrested by police. On the morning of July 17, it was reported that an someone had stolen cash after entering a parked vehicle in the driveway of a residence located in the 400 block of Havenwood Avenue.

On the morning of July 17, police were told someone had entered three unlocked vehicles that had been parked in a driveway of a residence in the 600 block of County Line Road, stealing various items from inside.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE
On the morning of July 17, it was reported that an someone damaged a parked vehicle located in the 600 block of Central Avenue on July 15 between 6:45 p.m. and 11 p.m.
BURGLARY TO MOTOR VEHICLE
On the afternoon of July 17, it was reported that an someone entered three vehicles located in a driveway of a residence on the first block of Pierce Road.
RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY
On the afternoon of July 17, police were told someone had gone inside an unoccupied residence in the 300 block of Charal Lane between July 9 and July 17 and stole various items from inside.
BURGLARY TO MOTOR VEHICLE
On the evening of July 17, police were told someone had entered a parked vehicle located in a driveway of a residence in the 500 block of County Line Road and stole various items.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE
Shortly before 10 a.m. on July 19, it was reported that an someone damaged a parked vehicle located in the 700 block of St. Johns Avenue on July 19 between 9:45 p.m. and 9:55 a.m.
THEFT
On July 19 at 11:23 a.m., it was reported that a woman stole multiple items from a residence located in the 100 block of Hazel Avenue during the two months between March 2017 and May 2017.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE
On the afternoon of July 19, police were told someone damaged a parked vehicle located in the 2000 block of St. Johns Avenue between July 18 at 2 p.m. and July 19 at 2 p.m.
STOLEN VEHICLE
At 2:43 a.m. on July 20, police were told someone stole a vehicle that was located in a driveway of a residence in the 1200 block of Central Avenue. The vehicle was later recovered in Chicago.

Shortly before 3 a.m. on July 20, police were told someone had entered a parked vehicle located in a driveway of a residence in the 1200 block of Central Avenue and stole various items.

Shortly after 7 a.m. on July 20 it was reported that someone had entered a parked vehicle located in a driveway of a residence in the 1600 block of Northland Avenue and stole various items.

On July 20 at 1:41 p.m., police were told someone entered a parked vehicle located in a driveway of a residence in the 1900 block of Beverley Place and stole various items.

On July 20 around 2:30 p.m., it was reported that someone entered a parked vehicle located in a driveway of a residence in the 1300 block of Arbor Avenue.

On July 20 at 4:12 p.m. it was reported that someone entered a parked vehicle located in a driveway of a residence in the first block of Lakeside Place and stole various items.

On July 20 at 5:14 p.m., it was reported that someone entered a parked vehicle located in a driveway of a residence in the 1200 block of Ferndale Avenue and stole various items.
BURGLARY TO MOTOR VEHICLE
Shortly before 6 a.m. on July 21, police were informed someone had entered a parked vehicle located in a driveway of a residence in the 1600 block of Little John Court.
BURGLARY TO MOTOR VEHICLE
On July 21 at 6:25 a.m., it was reported that someone entered a parked vehicle located in a driveway of a residence in the 1500 block of McCraren Road and stole various items.
STOLEN VEHICLE
On July 21 at 7:08 a.m. it was reported that someone had stolen a vehicle that was located in a driveway of a residence in the 2100 block of Tennyson Lane. The vehicle was later recovered in the 1900 block of Cavell Avenue.
STOLEN VEHICLE
On July 21 at 7:46 a.m. it was reported that someone stole a vehicle that was located in a driveway of a residence in the 1700 block of Cloverdale Avenue. The vehicle was later recovered in Chicago.
BURGLARY TO MOTOR VEHICLE
On July 21 at 8:14 a.m., it was reported that someone entered a parked vehicle located in a driveway of a residence in the 1100 block of Princeton Avenue and stole various items.
BURGLARY TO MOTOR VEHICLE
On July 21 at 8:50 a.m. it was reported that someone entered a parked vehicle located in a driveway of a residence in the 2200 block of Churchill Lane and stole various items.
BURGLARY TO MOTOR VEHICLE
On July 21 at 9:31 a.m., it was reported that someone had gone inside a parked vehicle located in a driveway of a residence in the 900 block of Harvard Court and stole various items.
ARMED ROBBERY
On July 21 at 10:35 a.m it was reported that an armed man entered a business located in the 2000 block of Skokie Valley Road and demanded merchandise from the employee working. The man fled the store with multiple items and entered a getaway vehicle driven by another man. The incident remains under investigation.

BURGLARY TO MOTOR VEHICLE
Shortly after 6 a.m. on July 21, police were told someone had entered a parked vehicle located in the 1300 block of Clavey Road and taken various items from inside.
THEFT
On July 22 at 1:14 p.m., it was reported that someone had stolen cash from a secured locker inside a business located in the 100 block of Skokie Valley Road between 11:45 a.m. and 12:55 p.m. that day.
RETAIL THEFT
On July 22 at 2:53 p.m. it was reported that a man tried to steal merchandise from a business located in the 2000 block of Skokie Valley Road. He was issued a non-traffic citation for retail theft.

On July 22 at 4:50 p.m., it was reported that someone stole multiple landscaping items from a located in the 1000 block of North Avenue.
THEFT
On July 22 at 7:46 p.m., it was reported that someone stole cash from an individual at a business located in the 2700 block of Skokie Valley Road between July 14 and July 19.
ARRESTS
SUSPENDED LICENSE
A 36-year-old Chicago man was arrested on July 18 at 1:42 a.m. He was charged with driving with a suspended license and speeding between 26 – 34 mph over the limit after police conducted a traffic stop in the 2400 block of Skokie Valley Road.
SUSPENDED LICENSE
A 48-year-old Waukegan man was arrested on July 20 at 3:44 p.m. and charged with driving while license suspended, improper use of registration and operating an uninsured motor vehicle after police conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Green Bay Road and Edgewood Road.
DUI
Trina M. Carter, 33, of the 37000 block of North Geraghty Avenue in Beach Park, was arrested July 22 at 6:07 a.m. and charged with driving under the influence, illegal transportation of alcohol and driving with an expired registration sticker after police conducted a traffic stop in the 2600 block of Skokie Valley Road.
DUI
Christopher A. Jacobs, 35, of the 1000 block of Horizon Ridge in Lake in the Hills, was arrested July 23 at 1:50 a.m. and charged with driving under the influence and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident after police responded to a traffic accident in the first block of Walker Avenue.
SUSPENDED LICENSE
A 20-year-old Waukegan man was arrested July 23 at 1:50 a.m. and charged with driving while license suspended and speeding between 26 – 34 mph over the limit after police conducted a traffic stop in the 1900 block of Skokie Valley Road.
