California Man Charged with Multiple Offenses: Police

The following information was submitted by the Highland Park Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL

Michael Porter, 39, Temecula, Calif. was arrested at 2:47 p.m. on December 15 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving while license suspended, open transportation of alcohol and disobeying a traffic control device after being stopped by police in the 1300 block of Half Day Road.

Porter was released on a personal recognizance bond with a court date of January 9, 2015 at 18 N. County Street, Waukegan.

THEFT

Julio Negron, 18, Waukegan was arrested and charged on December 15 at 6:29 p.m. with credit card fraud, deception and theft after police investigated a previous report of a purse theft on December 13. Negron was transported to bond court at 18 N. County Street, Waukegan with a pending court date.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL

Pravin Patel, 48, Chicago was arrested and charged at 1:30 a.m. on December 17 with driving under the influence of alcohol and speeding 35+ mph over the limit after being stopped by police near Half Day Road and Skokie Valley Road. Patel was released on a personal recognizance bond with a court date of January 23, 2015 at 18 N. County Street, Waukegan.

THEFT

Daeshanea Montgomery, 20, of the 2700 block of St. Johns Avenue, was arrested and charged at 12:18 a.m. on December 19 with three counts of theft and three counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor after police responded to an anonymous report of a subject who had stolen a package delivered to the front of a residence in the 1800 block of Beverly Place. Montgomery was released on a personal recognizance bond with a court date of January 19, 2015 at 18 N. County Street, Waukegan.
