We strive to educate the mind, body, and soul—honoring the tradition of dance as an art form. At NSSD, we don’t just teach routines—we teach students how to dance. Submitted by the City of Highland Park On Saturday, June 27 the Highland Park Fire Department will be the finish line of this year's Chicago Soldier Ride. The Soldier Ride is a unique cycling opportunity for wounded service members and veterans to overcome physical, mental, or emotional wounds. The 25-mile ride starts at Chicago's near Northside. The ride will pass through several North Shore communities before finishing at the Highland Park Fire Department Headquarters located at 1130 Central Avenue.The riders are expected to arrive in Highland Park sometime around 12:30 p.m. They will enter the City Limits on Green Bay Road at Lake Cook Road. The ride will proceed North on Green Bay to Central Avenue. The ride will then proceed West to the Fire Station where the riders will complete their trip.The Public is invited to come out and support the riders as they pass through the streets of Highland Park. The Soldier Ride has become annual event in which the Fire Department and its Member are proud to support.
