Community Focus Groups Scheduled for Superintendent Search

 Dr. David Behlow has announced his retirement at the end of the school year. The Board of Education would like to take this opportunity to thank him for his strong leadership over the past five years and wish him well in the future.  We are now entering into the search for a new superintendent. We have selected School Exec Connect, a search firm specializing in school administrators, to assist us in this process.

We are interested in receiving your input about the factors you feel are important to consider in our search for a new superintendent.  Executives from School Exec Connect will be conducting a series of face-to-face small group meetings to gather this input from parents, staff and community members. Additionally, later this week all community members will be invited to take an online survey to give their input. When the survey is live, a link will be sent to everyone on the district's email list and posted on district and school websites.

All groups will meet for approximately one hour.  All meetings will be identical, and participants are asked to attend only one meeting.  To help us plan, please RSVP at this link.

Findings from the survey and focus group meetings will be reported to the Board of Education at the November 5, 2013 Board meeting.  As we move forward, our most important consideration is securing the strongest candidate pool and ultimately the best person to lead our District.
