HIGHLAND PARK, IL — The following information comes from the Highland Park Police Department as a record of incidents reported to the police and of those arrested by police. INCIDENTS
BURGLARY TO MOTOR VEHICLE

On July 24, it was reported that someone entered a vehicle located in the 2300 block of Tennyson Lane between 3 p.m. on July 18 and 8:30 a.m. on July 19 and stole various items.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE

On July 25, it was reported that someone damaged a public building located in the 400 block of Laurel Avenue with spray paint at an unknown time of day.
THEFT
On July 25, it was reported that someone had stolen various equipment after entering an open landscaping trailer that was parked outside a residence located in the 900 block of Judson Ave on June 7 at approximately 2 p.m.
THEFT
On July 25, it was reported someone stole a wallet that had been left unattended at a business located in the 600 block of Central Avenue on July 22.
THEFT
On July 27, police were told someone stole various items from a vehicle that was being serviced at a business located in the 500 block of Laurel Avenue at approximately 12:30 p.m. on July 25.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE
On July 28, it was reported that someone damaged a public parking meter located in the 0-100 block of Roger Williams at an unknown time of day.
THEFT
On July 28, police were told someone stole a package that was delivered to a residence located in the 1400 block of Glencoe Avenue between 11:12 a.m. and 3 p.m. on July 28.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE
On July 29, it was reported that someone damaged a parked vehicle located outside a residence in the 200 block of Leonard Woods South at approximately 4 a.m. on July 29.
ARRESTS
SUSPENDED LICENSE
A 27-year-old Chicago woman was arrested on July 25 at 12:26 a.m. and charged with driving while license suspended and operating a vehicle with no rear registration plate light after police conducted a traffic stop in the 2100 block of Green Bay Road. She was released on a personal recognizance bond with a court date of August 23, 2017 in Park City.
DUI
Jason B. Shapiro, 46, of the 1100 block of Hackberry Road in Deerfield, was arrested July 28 at 12:40 a.m. and charged with driving under the influence, improper lane usage and driving without lights when required after police conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Deerfield Road and Richfield Avenue. Shapiro was released on a personal recognizance bond with a court date of August 25, 2017 in Waukegan.
DUI
Gabriel Martinez, 35, of the 200 block of West Ridgeland Avenue in Waukegan, was arrested July 28 at 2:48 a.m. and charged with driving under the influence, improper lane usage, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and illegal transportation of alcohol after conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Skokie Valley Road and Deerfield Road. Martinez was released on a personal recognizance bond with a court date of August 25, 2017 in Waukegan.
NO VALID DRIVER’S LICENSE
A 49-year-old Highwood man was arrested on July 31 at 8:32 a.m. and charged with driving with no valid driver’s license after police responded to a traffic accident in the 2200 block of Green Bay Road. Alvarado was released on a personal recognizance bond with a court date of August 23, 2017 in Park City.
