HIGHLAND PARK, IL — The following information comes from the Highland Park Police Department as a record of incidents reported to the police and of those arrested by police. Readers are reminded than an arrest is not an indication of guilt, and criminal charges, which are often dropped or reduced, represent merely accusations by the state. All persons named are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.

INCIDENTS

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY

A resident of the 2200 block of Green Bay Road reported that someone broke into their home between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. on March 10. The home was found ransacked, and cash and jewelry was reported missing.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE

On the afternoon of March 11, graffiti was found on a fence post and a wall on the tunnel area in the Cherokee and Blackhawk roads walkway.

THEFT

Someone stole cash from a register drawer in the 1800 block of Second Street that may have been left partially open, police were told on the afternoon of March 11.


ARRESTS

A 46-year-old Highwood man was arrested at 4:30 p.m. on March 5 and charged with driving while his license was revoked, expired registration and driving an uninsured motor vehicle after being stopped by police near the intersection of Half Day Road and Greenwood Avenue.
