District 112 Close to Finalizing Teacher Contract

North Shore Education Foundation official shares some of the details.

A repeat of the one-day District 112 teachers strike of 2012 is unlikely.

The Highland Park News reports that after nine months of negotiations, North Shore School District 112 teachers are closing in on a new five-year contract.

Pamela Kramer, president of the North Shore Education Association, told the News that while not yet finalized, the framework for the contract in the works “treats teachers fairly but doesn’t burden the district.”
