George V. Fornero, superintendent of Township High School District 113, confirmed that “due to the predicted dangerously cold temperature” for Wednesday, January 7, District 113 will be closed. This closure affects all District 113 students, even those who attend school at an alternative site such as the Tech Campus. Furthermore, all before-school and after-school/evening student activities, practices, rehearsals, etc. are cancelled. A decision regarding Thursday, January 8 will be made on Wednesday afternoon.
Note one exception: The Highland Park High School Incoming 8th Grade Parent meeting scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 7 will go on as planned.
