Drivers Face DUIs Following Crash, Stopping In Traffic: Blotter

HIGHLAND PARK, IL — The following information comes from the Highland Park Police Department as a record of incidents reported to the police and of those arrested by police. Readers are reminded than an arrest is not an indication of guilt, and criminal charges, which are often dropped or reduced, represent merely accusations by the state. All persons named are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
INCIDENTS
CRIMINAL DAMAGE
A resident of the 1600 block of Sunset Road reported on the morning of May 26 that someone had smashed the rear window of a parked car. There were no items of value reported stolen from inside.

ARRESTS/CITATIONS
Gerardo Rodriguez, 22, of the 900 block of Judge Street in Waukegan, was arrested at 8:42 p.m. on May 16 and charged with driving under the influence following an investigation into a two-car traffic crash in the 1300 block of Half Day Road.

Estera Ciorobitca, 21, of the 800 block of Everett Road in Lake Forest, was arrested at 4:27 a.m. on May 26 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol following a traffic stop near the intersection of Skokie Valley Road and Parkside Drive.
Luke Norcia, 20, of the 300 block of Moraine Road in Highland Park, was arrested at 3:26 a.m. on May 27 and charged with driving under the influence after police approached his vehicle near the intersection of Trail Way and Parkside Drive.
Drew Bailey, 25, of the 1400 block of West Shewin in Chicago, was arrested at 4:25 a.m. on May 27 and charged with driving under the influence after police were called to a report of a car stopped in the right lane near the intersection of Skokie Valley Road and Park Avenue.
