Drums Mysteriously Vanish From Guitar Center: Highland Park Crime Blotter

The crime blotter covers incidents in Highland Park from Jan. 26 - Feb. 1.

HIGHLAND PARK, IL — The following is the most recent crime blotter from the Highland Park Police Department.

THEFT

  • Retail - Jan. 26 at 9:26 a.m.
    • Employees at the Target at 209 Skokie Valley Rd. reported that a woman took $187 worth of merchandise without paying.
  • Retail - Jan. 29 at 10:36 a.m.
    • While taking inventory, an employee at the Guitar Center at 143 Skokie Valley Rd. noticed that three drums were missing. The cost of the missing drums is approximately $1,930.
  • Mail - Jan. 31 at 11:04 a.m.
    • While in the process of shipping a package out of state, the contents of the package went missing, according to police. The total estimated loss was unknown.
  • Residential - Feb. 1 at 3:44 p.m.
    • A resident reported that several pieces of jewelry were stolen from their property in the 1700 block of Lake Cook Road.
