Moraine Township Dems Plan Barbecue

The Democrats in Moraine Township are cooking. They’re set for a barbecue on Sat. afternoon, Aug. 20, where they’ll enjoy traditional American summer fare while planning the re-election of President Obama and the defeat of Rep. Bob Dold.

The festivities run from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the home of Elliot and Sherri Richardson at 39 St. Charles Place in Highland Park. A minimum contribution of $35 is requested, which includes dinner, cocktails, and a Moraine Township Democratic Organization membership. Complimentary valet parking will be provided. If it rains, the party will move inside.

Among the leaders planning to attend are Illinois Senator Susan Garrett, Illinois Representative Karen May, and Democratic State Central Committee members Lauren Beth Gash and Dan Pierce.

Moraine Township includes most of Highland Park, all of Highwood, and parts of Deerfield and Lake Forest.
