"As we began planning our 60th year of FOCUS on the Arts, we thought it would be a great opportunity to host an event to raise funds and awareness in our off year," said Tamara Jenkins with FOCUS on the Arts.

The festival occurs every other year. Over two days and three nights, it presents more than 300 workshops, masterclasses, and performances for students. It also includes three community events featuring music, theater, art, and dance.

Professional artists participate in FOCUS on the Arts, including notable figures like actor Gary Sinise, host Oprah Winfrey, writer Meredith Dawson, and director Richie Keen. Broadway actors such as Andréa Burns, Hugh Panaro, and Adam Pasqual have also participated. Dance companies like The Joffrey Ballet and Hubbard Street Dance have also performed.

"Every donation, no matter the size, plays a crucial role in sustaining and expanding our program, ensuring that we can continue to ignite creativity and foster artistic appreciation in our community for years to come," Jenkins said.

Funds raised help cover costs for artists in residence programs, art materials for students, artist stipends, travel expenses, hospitality, equipment rentals, and printing for programs.
