Former Highwood Chamber Director Dies

Bruno Bertucci, a Highwood business leader who served as director of the Highwood Chamber of Commerce for 20 years, has died.

The Daily North Shore got word of the news via a Chamber email that described Bertucci’s accomplishments and mindset.

“Bruno started the Student Honor Luncheon, honoring selected students from all Highwood schools for different levels of achievement and leadership skills. He wanted to find a way to honor students, especially those in grade schools that are not often honored,” according to the Chamber. “(He) has always had an interest in education, and has played an integral role in the surrounding communities’ education systems.”

Bertucci served on the old District 111 School Board for two terms before the District was merged with another.
