ARRESTS

A 45-year-old Highland Park woman was arrested around 9:30 p.m. on Oct. 18 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after police responded to a complaint about a driver in a white Range Rover who had swerved into incoming traffic in the area of Green Bay Road and Laurel Avenue. An officer said she smelled of alcohol, field sobriety testing indicated she was impaired and police found two bottles of vodka, one about 60% full, in the back seat of her. She declined a breath test, her license was suspended and she was issued citations for illegal transportation of alcohol, failure to signal and illegal parking. She declined to comment through a representative. Lake County Associate Judge Theodore Potkonjak found the woman not guilty at a bench trial on April 3, 2019.
