Highland Park Figure Skater Now Among World's Best

Jason Brown finished fourth in his first appearance in the World Championships, etching his name among the top figure skaters on the planet.
The 20-year-old Highland Park native won the U.S. Championships earlier this year and was the top American scorer at the Worlds in Shanghai last weekend, according to the Lake County News-Sun.
“I couldn’t be more excited. I am fourth in the world,”said Brown. “I did everything perfectly and I’ll take what I learned from there.”
