Highland Park Man Killed in Fiery Crash on Dan Ryan Expressway
Christopher J. Pastiu, 22 was a passenger in a high-speeding SUV when it crashed on the south side of Chicago Tuesday night.

Two local men were killed in a fiery crash on the Dan Ryan Expressway on the south side of Chicago late Tuesday night.
Timothy Letten, of the 900 block of Oxford Road in Deerfield, was driving a black Mercedes-Benz GL450 at 118 mph around 11:20 p.m. near the Chinatown ramp, according to Chicago Sun-Times reports. The vehicle passed a trooper on patrol, but kept speeding away even as the trooper attempted a traffic stop. The vehicle was found engulfed in flames moments later by the trooper at the 23rd Street overpass next to the bridge abutment.
Letten and Christopher J. Pastiu, 22, of the 700 block of Barberry Road in Highland Park was a passenger in the vehicle and also died immediately.

Neither man was wearing a seat belt. Their deaths were ruled accidents.
