Highland Park's Dr. Jeffrey Mjaanes Named Team Physician for Chicago Fire

Dr. Mjaanes has served as a team physician for U.S. Soccer for over eight years and has traveled abroad with both national teams.

Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush sports medicine physician Dr. Jeffrey Mjaanes has been designated team physician for the Chicago Fire Soccer Club. Dr. Mjaanes is serving as Chief Medical Officer for the team and has been working closely with the club’s athletic training staff and NovaCare Rehabilitation, the official provider of physical therapy, athletic training services and rehabilitation services for the Chicago Fire Soccer Club, since the start of the season.

He brings a wealth of experience to his role. In terms of soccer, Dr. Mjaanes has served as a team physician for U.S. Soccer for over eight years and has traveled abroad with both adult and youth national teams. He also has elite-level sports experience. Dr. Mjaanes continues to work with the full men’s national team for USA Rugby in addition to the DePaul University Blue Demons, Trinity International University and Roosevelt University.

The Chicago Fire Soccer Club was founded in 1997 and has played at Toyota Park in Bridgeview, IL since 2006. The 2015 season is in full swing and the schedule can be found here!
