HP Elite Soccer Club Continues to Seek Donations

HP Elite Soccer Club, established in 2013, is a 501(C)(3) non-profit organization providing Highland Park, Highwood, Deerfield and surrounding area soccer players with a more competitive environment to learn and play soccer. The Club is currently seeking donations for its Scholarship Program that provides financial aid to qualifying youth athletes to ensure that no child is denied an opportunity to play due to financial hardships regardless of their economic challenges.
HP Elite SC is passionate about being a community driven program created to increase the love of the sport within the Highland Park/Highwood/Deerfield area and to provide players with opportunities to play together throughout their youth and high school playing careers. HP Elite continues to seek out non-profit sponsorship and donation opportunities that align with its mission of giving back to the community.
According to Dan Olswang, President of HP Elite, “Ever since we founded HP Elite, we have been finding creative ways of raising funds to ensure that kids have an opportunity to join our club regardless of their economic background. We support all children who are willing to work hard to better themselves through participating in team sports. We use the 4C philosophy (Composure, Confidence, Commitment, and Community) with the hope that soccer will be a vehicle to help teach life lessons. We believe that no player is better than the next and it takes all to be successful! We want our players to have fun and enjoy participating.”

“Whether you call it soccer or football, we love this game and we think you and your child will too”, said Rachael Chavez, Director of Coaching for HP Elite SC.
Chavez further noted, “Playing soccer has been a big part of my family’s life, and I would like to help other families get the same joy out of this sport that we have and it’s only if we continue to get donations that we will be able to continue our scholarship program.”

So far, for the 2015/16 season, HP Elite has received requests from 24 families for either a full or partial scholarship as many of its players are from disadvantaged backgrounds. Olswang added, “We have families battling cancer and one in which a single mother quit her job to donate a kidney to her son. The demand for scholarships will continue to grow.”
