City approved appointing 16 juniors to serve on boards and commissions.

HIGHLAND PARK, IL - A number of juniors at Highland Park High School have been appointed to serve as representatives on the city's various boards and commissions.
The City Council approved the appointments of the 16 students at its Jan. 9 meeting at City Hall.
According to a news release from the city, the students serve on a board or commission, provide feedback on agenda items considered by their respective commission or board and have an opportunity to gain "valuable governmental experience" through the Student Commissioner program.
