Hydrant, Tree, Sign, Cable Box Struck In Hit-And-Run: Blotter
A 57-year-old Highland Park woman is accused of drugged driving; a 29-year-old Highwood man faces felony battery charges: HP Police Blotter

HIGHLAND PARK, IL — The following information comes from the Highland Park and Highwood police departments and public records as a record of incidents reported to the police and of those arrested by police. Criminal charges represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law beyond a reasonable doubt.
INCIDENTS
THEFT FROM VEHICLE
Someone stole a catalytic converted from a Honda SUV parked in the 1700 block of Lake Cook Road between 6 p.m. Sept. 10 and 1 p.m. Sept. 11.
CAR BURGLARY
Someone stole a pair of sunglasses and two credit cards from a car that had been left unlocked while parked at the Northmoor Country Club, 820 Edgewood Road, between 4 and 6:30 p.m. on July 3. The incident was reported Sept. 13.

THEFT/FRAUD
Someone stole a wallet from a grocery cart at the Target, 2099 Skokie Valley Road, at some point prior to 7 p.m. Sept. 18. Two fraudulent charges were accrued on each of the stolen credit cards, including more than $2,557 at the Nieman Marcus in Northbrook and more than $500 at the Wheeling Walmart.
ARRESTS/CITATIONS
Neftali Vasquez, 29, of the first block of Walker Avenue in Highwood, was arrested around 10 p.m. Aug. 3 at an unspecified location and charged with aggravated domestic battery and aggravated battery causing great bodily harm.

Vasquez posted the $7,500 cash portion of his bail on Aug. 12 and was ordered not to have any contact with the person he is accused of battery or their home or to posses firearms or other weapons. He pleaded not guilty to both felony offenses on Sept. 13.
Nathantial J. Pomrenze, 67, of the 2900 block of Idlewood Lane, Highland Park, was arrested around 4:30 p.m. on Aug. 30 and charged with battery after police reported he spit on someone and punched them in a head at the Highwood Walgreens, 320 Waukegan Ave.
Jerry B. Viti, 57, of the 100 block of Pleasant Avenue, Highwood, was arrested around 3 p.m. on Sept. 10 and charged with disorderly conduct after police reported he sprayed someone with a home near his home, causing her to feel threatened and frightened.
A 27-year-old Waukegan man was arrested around 4:30 a.m. on Sept. 14 and charged with driving with a suspended license following a traffic stop at Trail Way and Half Day Road. He was also issued citations for speeding 26 to 34 mph above the limit and failure to obey a traffic control device.
Fiona M. McCormack-Fox, 57, of the 1900 block of Watercress Way, Highland Park, was arrested around 11:30 a.m. on Sept. 18 and charged with driving under the influence of a combination of drugs and alcohol and leaving the leave of a crash after officers were called to the scene of a hit-and-run traffic crash near Hybernia and Aster drives. Police said Fox crashed into a stop sign, fire hydrant, tree and a cable box before leaving. Officers also issued her citations for improper lane usage and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
