Kimbrel Cleared in California Cyberbullying Case

Tamalpais board finds no evidence of incoming District 113 superintendent's involvement in her husband's alleged remarks.

The Tamalpais Union High School District board of education has cleared Superintendent Dr. Laurie Kimbrel of any involvement in her husband’s alleged cyberbullying of a parent. Kimbrel is leaving Tamalpais, a high school district in California, for the superintendent post at Township High School District 113 in July.

The Highland Park News reports an email from the Tamalpais board president indicated “an independent third-party professional” investigated the matter but found Kimbrel free from involvement.

The investigation conducted by District 113, however, is ongoing. In addition to the alleged online offensive behavior from her husband, reports had surfaced that Kimbrel had worked alongside a search firm - one with a history of conflict of interest reports - the district hired to find a replacement superintendent for the retiring George Fornero.
