Lyons Woman Charged With Battering Highland Park Cop: Blotter
The 30-year-old was charged with drunken driving, resisting arrest and aggravated battery: Highland Park Police Blotter, Sept. 23 to Oct. 6

HIGHLAND PARK, IL — The following information comes from the Highland Park and Highwood police departments and public records as a record of incidents reported to the police and of those arrested by police. Criminal charges represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law beyond a reasonable doubt.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE
Graffiti was found on a windscreen in the 1000 block of Park Avenue West shortly before 8:30 a.m. Sept. 25.

CAR BURGLARIES
- Someone broke into a commercial vehicle and a trailer parked in the 1500 block of Old Skokie Road during the overnight hours of Sept. 25 to Sept. 26. At least a half-dozen landscaping tools were reported stolen from the trailer.
- A resident in the 1000 block of Half Day Road reported around 7 a.m. Sept. 26 that someone got into their unlocked car during the prior night. Nothing was reported stolen at the time of the report.

ARRESTS/CITATIONS
Andres Soto-Gonzalez, 23, of the 1700 block of West Albion Avenue, Chicago, was arrested around 1:45 a.m. Sept. 23 was taken into custody on an active arrest warrant and also charged with driving under the influence of alcohol following a traffic stop in the first block of St. John's Avenue. He was also issued a citation for improper lane usage.
Sierra Tevenal, 30, of the 4500 block of Center Avenue, Lyons, was arrested around 4:15 a.m. Sept. 30 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, aggravated battery to a police officer and resisting arrest following a traffic stop at the intersection of Skokie Valley and Clavey road. She was also issued citations for possession of a small amount of cannabis, disobeying a stop sign, disobeying a traffic control device, improper backing and failure to display a driver's license.
A 29-year-old Chicago man was arrested around 5 a.m. Oct. 4 and charged with driving with a suspended or revoked license and ticketed for speeding between 26 and 34 mph above the speed limit following a traffic stop at the intersection of Skokie Valley and Lake Cook roads.
